About the opportunity:
This role partners closely with an experienced software developer, bringing your expertise as the estimating subject matter expert to guide the design and functionality of a next-generation estimating platform. Built in-house from the ground up, this tool will transform how estimating is delivered across the NEX Building Group.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the NEX Building group estimating systems
Partner with group estimating teams and stakeholders to analyse requirements and standardise estimating methodologies
Monitor and maintain quality control processes, including receiving and request management
Collect, analyse, and consolidate pricing data across group entities to ensure accuracy and consistency
Provide actionable insights to support procurement in achieving cost savings and ensuring product availability
Support administrative processes including data entry, vendor list updates, and system maintenance

About you:

A minimum of 2 years experience in residential production estimating
Strong ability to read and interpret plans and technical documentation
Sound understanding of building processes, materials, and costings
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights
Exposure to systems development or process improvement (experience with software tools or platforms is highly regarded)
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality control
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach
Proficient in data entry, reporting, and maintaining system records
