We are seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to join our team in Malvern, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
This is a high-impact role where you'll transform data into actionable insights, helping senior leaders make informed strategic decisions. You'll identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, drive cost-saving initiatives, and champion technology-led solutions that create measurable business value.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Analysis: Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization to develop in-depth analyses and documentation. Effective communication with all teams is essential.
- Engaging with Senior Leadership: Interact with senior members of the organization, including institutional investors, to understand their goals and desired outcomes. Provide insights and reporting to aid decision-making within the organisation.
- Process Optimization, Modelling and Mapping: Identify and implement opportunities for improving business systems and enhancing management information. This may involve process optimization and cost reduction. Create and document process flows, defining decision nodes and nominating roles and responsibilities within the organization. Model business processes and identify areas for process improvements. Utilize data modelling techniques to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Market Analysis: Review and analyse market data, trends, and internal processes to draw logical conclusions that can enhance business performance.
- Solutions Proposal: Propose solutions to senior management, clearly outlining suggested changes and steps involved while keeping them updated on progress.
- Data Analysis: Access data from various sources to analyse key themes and identify potential impacts on the business.
- External Awareness: Keep an eye on external developments and emerging issues that could affect the business and contribute to evaluating their impact or usefulness.
- Financial Analysis: Provide analytical assistance in the development and implementation of business opportunities, including capital and operating expenditure analysis.
- Cost/Benefit Analysis: Model assumptions and perform cost/benefit and yield on cost analysis for major initiatives to determine project viability and expected benefits.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports, formal board materials, and financial reports as required. Create impactful reports, charts, and dashboards for various functional levels.
- Technology Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new technology and systems to improve business processes.
- Data Integrity: Contribute to the approval process for database specifications to ensure data integrity and adherence to standards and protocols.
What experience is essential for you to bring to Fort Knox Self Storage:
- A Master's degree in Business Analytics is essential.
- A minimum of 1 years full time experience in the self storage industry are preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyse data, documents, and workflows to provide problem-solving solutions.
- Data Analysis Tools, Technical Knowledge and Awareness: Proficiency in data analysis tools/software such as SQL, Excel, Python, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. Awareness of existing technology platforms and emerging technologies. Good working knowledge of programming languages and CRM tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to understand critical business requirements.
- Influence Skills: Strong influential skills to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Creative thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions, prioritize tasks, and assess viable solutions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Project Management: High-level project management skills to handle projects from start to finish.
- Accountability: Ability to hold oneself and others accountable for outcomes and commitments.
