The role
As our new Business & Reporting Analyst, you will combine data engineering, analytics, and storytelling to drive smarter decision making across our contact centre's telephony and digital channels. You will own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle — from extracting and transforming raw data into reliable, governed datasets, through to delivering compelling insights that influence strategy at every level of the organisation.
What you’ll be doing

Conducting in-depth analysis across diverse data sources to identify opportunities for cost optimisation, revenue enhancement, and operational performance improvement.

Embracing AI and emerging technologies to automate repetitive tasks, augment analytical capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across the reporting ecosystem.

Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, operational strategies, workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data, surface trends, and translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations that drive informed decision-making.

Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and transformations to ensure accurate, performant, and reliable reporting datasets.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, semantic models, and automated reports to monitor KPIs and track performance.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the reporting ecosystem, while staying current with industry trends and leveraging AI and automation tools to accelerate analytical workflows and embed intelligent automation into reporting processes.

Championing data quality and governance standards across all reporting assets, ensuring stakeholders have trust in the accuracy and lineage of the metrics provided
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline (preferred).
- Prior experience in a reporting, data analysis, or data engineering role within a business or technology environment.

Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI development (including Power Query, DAX, M language, dimensional data modelling, reports, and semantic models).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery), CI/CD principles, version control (e.g., GitHub/GitLab), and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace) for managing and deploying analytics assets.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation & automation, with a demonstrated interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance analytical workflows.
- Strong understanding of data visualisation principles, dashboard design, and data governance (including lineage, documentation, and access controls).
- An analytical and creative mindset with a drive to solve problems through data along with strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to all levels of audience.
