Are you ready to make a difference and shape the future? Join our team as a Business Support Officer in the Office of the Chief Finance Officer (OCFO). This is your opportunity to deliver high-quality administrative and business support while contributing to strategic financial initiatives that drive the success of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business. In this role, you'll thrive in a collaborative and inclusive environment where your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities will shine. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring the smooth operation of OCFO, providing proactive advice and support to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and the Finance, Facilities, and Procurement (FFP) team.

As the Business Support Officer, you will manage the CFO's diary, ensuring seamless scheduling, prioritisation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. You will provide a wide range of business support services, including maintaining the FFP SharePoint site, and facilitating team building activities for the FFP team. You will play a key role in ensuring briefing notes and correspondence are accurately logged, tracked, and finalised, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. You will also have the opportunity to lead or contribute to ad-hoc projects and research initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires someone who can act as a central point of contact for the FFP team, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be relied upon to provide proactive advice and support to ensure the smooth operation of the office and FFP functions. Your ability to identify and implement process improvements will be highly valued, as will your commitment to delivering excellence in customer service and fostering a positive workplace culture.

We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative and organisational skills who can coordinate departmental requests, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines. You will need to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in responding to changing work demands, with strong problem-solving skills to navigate dynamic and complex situations. A commitment to ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with government policies and regulations is critical when handling sensitive information.
