Dental Assistant and Dental Receptionists | Bupa Dental Northland, located within Northland Shopping Centre
Exciting new practice opening in July 2026! Successful candidates will onboard as soon as possible to allow ample time for training and preparation, ensuring a smooth start and setting you up for success before our go live.
Employment Type: Full Time and Part Time (30 hours)

Roster: Full Time (38 hours) - Monday 8:00am–6:00pm (1-hour lunch), Tuesday 8:00am–6:00pm (1-hour lunch), Thursday 8:00am–1:00pm, Friday 12:00pm–7:30pm (30-minute lunch) and Saturday 8:00am–4:30pm (30-minute lunch)

Roster Part Time (30 hours) - Monday and Wednesday 8:00am–6:00pm (1-hour lunch) and Thursday and Friday 1:00pm–7:30pm

The purpose of the Dental Assistant - Receptionist role is to provide reception services at the front office of the Dental Practice, manage patient appointments, billing, payment receipts and records, while also supporting clinical care and assisting in patient education on dental health. Additionally, this role includes providing administrative support to the front office as needed, ensuring the delivery of patient care goals.

What you’ll need to make it possible

Ideally 6 months’ experience working as a Dental Assistant in Australia
This position offers flexibility as either a dual role (Dental Assistant/Reception) or a dedicated single role. Candidates applying for the dual role should have Dental Assisting experience and a willingness to develop reception skills. Applicants for single-role positions must have prior dental experience, either in Dental Assisting or Dental Reception
Provide chair-side assistance for dental professionals providing dental treatment including usage of suction, passing instruments and materials, mixing techniques, assist in x-rays procedures and knowledge of instrumentation.
Clean and prepare the treatment room, dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and BDC procedures;
Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.
Is responsible for work performed with a medium level of accountability or discretion
Assist with the management of appointment schedules including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirming appointments as required.
