We are expanding our Food Services Assistant pool team and are seeking qualified FSAs to deliver high-quality support to patients, visitors and colleagues.
Pool staff work across morning, afternoon and evening shifts, Monday to Sunday, with guaranteed part-time hours.
FSAs play a vital role in delivering high-quality meal services and supporting patient nutrition and food safety. Responsibilities include meal preparation, regeneration, delivery and collection of meal trays and Burlodge trolleys, cleaning food service areas and equipment, restocking supplies, operating food service equipment safely, and maintaining accurate food safety and cleaning documentation to ensure meals are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
We have the following opportunities available:
(Guaranteed permanent 35 or 39 hours per fortnight)
- AM: 6:30 am – 2:00 pm
- PM: 1:30 pm – 8:30 pm
(Guaranteed permanent 48, 65 or 70 hours per fortnight)
- AM: 6:45 am – 3:15 pm
- PM: Shifts starting between 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm start, finishing by 9:00 pm
(Guaranteed permanent 45.6 hours per fortnight)
- AM: Shifts starting between 6:30 am – 10:30 am – finishing by 6:00 pm
- PM: Shifts starting between 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm – finishing by 8:30 pm
(Guaranteed permanent 30 hours per fortnight)
- AM: Shifts starting between 6:30 – 8:30 AM, finishing by 8:30 pm
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in food services within hospital, aged care or hospitality settings, with strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. You will have strong communication skills, a reliable and team-focused approach, and a commitment to patient care, safety and following procedures. Knowledge of diet codes, texture modified diets and food allergies is advantageous.
A food safety certificate (HLTFSE001 or SITXFSA001) is essential.
