What this opportunity involves:
The Governance and Communications Manager establishes governance frameworks, develops strategic communications, and oversees learning initiatives that drive business process improvement across JLL's Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) portfolio. In this high-visibility position, you'll lead the Communications and Administration Coordinator while ensuring coordinated delivery that enables our teams to work as 'One JLL' for our clients. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — and this role is central to that mission. Your responsibilities span conflict of interest management, security clearance oversight, and creating compelling communications that shape how work gets done. The ideal candidate brings creative problem-solving abilities, exceptional project management skills, and the talent to absorb complex issues and develop innovative solutions. Your strong writing and editing capabilities, attention to detail, and collaborative approach will help you identify and deploy best practices while nurturing the JLL brand across all channels.
An overview of the role:
Provide oversight, direction, and support to the Communications and Administration Coordinator, delegating tasks, coordinating workflow, and quality assuring materials while fostering professional development
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive conflict of interest frameworks, establishing systematic processes for identifying, documenting, assessing, and managing conflicts across the WoAG account
Oversee security clearance management processes across the portfolio, coordinating applications, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with Entity Relationship Directors to ensure continuous compliance with Commonwealth Security requirements
Support business process improvement through the development and distribution of relevant communications, facilitating training sessions that enable the team to deliver consistent and efficient services
Foster a culture of information sharing across Federal Government accounts, acting as a conduit to reduce duplication of effort and share best practices while developing the Canberra office newsletter
Manage communications for significant portfolio or service changes, including machinery of government changes, entity transitions, and service delivery modifications
Provide communications support for transition activities and change management initiatives, working with the Transformation Manager to coordinate meetings, align processes, and support Relationship Directors

Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance and any additional associated Entity clearances as required for this role
Demonstrated experience developing communications for diverse stakeholders including senior management, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously with excellent time management skills and the capacity to manage competing priorities with limited supervision
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain compliance, manage organisational risk, and interpret policy requirements
High proficiency with MS Office programs and comfort with communication trends, tools, and digital channels
Executive presence and professionalism with demonstrated success translating complex concepts into clear, logical communications
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and flexible team player who adapts to rapidly changing situations while maintaining focus on performance targets
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Communications, or equivalent relevant work experience (preferred)
Experience in governance frameworks, policy interpretation, or compliance management within government or highly regulated environments (preferred)
