The Terrace at Sydney's favourite venue goes beyond the traditional definition of 'pub food'. The menu offers contemporary Asian food integrated with traditional pub classics to create contemporary dishes that showcase high quality produce and bold Asian flavours.

Bistro Moncur at the Woollahra Hotel is one of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in Sydney, offering a perennially consistent French bistro menu, along with daily specials that focus on the best of Australia's seasonal produce.

THE ROLE

The Woollahra Hotel / Bistro Moncur is looking for an experienced, professional CHEF DE PARTIE to join our kitchen team.

With a renowned focus on delivering excellent food, a unique customer experience and a premium quality product, experience in a similar role and establishment is essential.

As a Chef de Partie at the Woollahra Hotel, you will be responsible for:

Kitchen/section management
Helping to lead, manage & continuously develop the kitchen team
Menu development & planning specials in consultation with the Head Chef
Overseeing production & mis en place
Working to budgets to ensure that targets are met or exceeded
Ensuring an excellent product is served every time
Developing & maintaining procedures
Financial & cost management in line with scope of responsibilities
Quality control
Maintaining supplier relationships
Ordering, stock-control & management
Team training & development

Full-Time Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this application, you must be able to demonstrate:

Experience working in a similar venue & working in all sections of the kitchen
At least 3+ years in a similar role at the same level as required for the position
Experience working with Asian and/or French cuisine
Strong knowledge of OH&S requirements
Leadership & management skills
Trade qualifications
A commitment to producing an excellent product for customers
A passion for food & innovation
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Cooperation & team player skills
Willingness to learn & grow within the trade
Flexibility to work a 7-day roster
