Known as the 'nest in the hills', Quirindi is located in the picturesque Liverpool Plains, less than an hours' drive from Tamworth. The town is surrounded by stunning landscapes and picture-perfect sunflower fields. Quirindi Health Service incorporates Quirindi Hospital, which is an acute hospital facility with 24hr/7day emergency department, and HealthOne Quirindi, which provides General Practice and Community Health services on site. These services all work in partnership to provide patient-centred and coordinated care to the local Liverpool Plains community.
About the role:
Quirindi Hospital is looking for Enrolled Nurses to join their wonderful team in the provision of high quality, safe, and effective nursing care to staff, patients or consumers using a person-centred approach to the Quirindi community and surrounds. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of quality, timely and culturally appropriate patient care to a diverse range of people with a wide variety of health issues related to physical or mental illness and/or other health challenges. The role will require a commitment to patient safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare, as well as the promotion of evidence informed practice within the ward/unit. This will be shown by: participating in the development and evaluation of clinical pathways; contributing to health care planning, practice and evaluation; and delivery of care in accordance with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards.
The successful candidate will be provided with appropriate orientation and training, supported by the Health Service Manager, to enable them to excel in the role. Support will be provided onsite by members of the immediate work team, which may include multiple clinical professionals and inclusive of a full time Clinical Nurse Educator.
About you:
We are looking for motivated Enrolled Nurses, with experience in Emergency Nursing and/or recent experience in an Acute Care setting. You should have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and demonstrate a capacity to work within a team. You will be open to learning experiences and view them as an opportunity to develop your skills. You will have a strong focus on patient centred care and will incorporate the principles of excellence into your work.
