The Opportunity
We’re seeking two Permanent Part-Time Registered Nurses to join our Child and Family Health teams across Inverell (12 hours/week) and Warialda (20 hours/week).
These are rewarding community-based roles where you’ll support families during the most important early years of a child’s life, working closely with supportive local teams and communities who genuinely value this service.

The Role and You
As a Child and Family Health Nurse, you’ll be trusted to work both independently and collaboratively to support families in their homes and community settings. We’re looking for an organised, approachable RN who genuinely enjoys working with young children and families. You communicate with ease, build rapport quickly, and are confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, you will:

Deliver universal home visiting and clinic-based care

Support breastfeeding, sleep, settling, and parenting confidence

Provide health promotion and early intervention strategies

Work closely with multidisciplinary partners to ensure coordinated care

Build strong, trusting relationships with families across your caseload
You will also bring:

Current AHPRA registration with Postgraduate Certificate in Child and Family Health or working towards (Essential)

Driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the catchment (Essential)

Immunisation qualification (or willingness to complete)
-
Family Partnership training (or willingness to undertake)

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
You’ll report to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and receive strong professional support from a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Child and Family Health, ensuring you are never working in isolation.
