Full Job Description

Mathematics Pointt is looking for an experienced Content Writer / Exam Resource Developer to create high-quality preparation material for the Victorian Selective School Entrance Exam.

This role suits a university student, tutor, teacher, educator, or academic content creator with experience in selective school, scholarship exam, gifted and talented, or academic extension content.

This is not a generic worksheet-writing role. We are looking for someone who can create thoughtful, challenging, exam-style material.

Subject Areas

You may work across one or more of the following:

Mathematical Reasoning
Numerical Reasoning
Verbal Reasoning
Reading Comprehension
Writing / English

Applicants may apply for the area where they are strongest.

Responsibilities

Create original practice questions, worksheets, mock exam questions, and worked solutions
Develop questions aligned with Victorian Selective School exam-style difficulty
Write clear answers and explanations
Review and improve existing resources
Ensure all content is accurate, age-appropriate, and challenging

Essential Requirements

Prior experience creating or teaching selective school, scholarship, gifted and talented, or competitive exam preparation content
Strong understanding of exam-style reasoning and difficulty levels
Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or reasoning-based exam preparation
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Ability to create original questions, not generic textbook-style exercises

Selection Process

Applicants are encouraged to share previous examples of educational content, exam-style questions, worksheets, mock tests, or learning resources they have created.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a small paid trial task at a fixed rate before final selection.

Work Arrangement & Rate

Flexible remote work
Casual, project-based, or part-time opportunity
Ongoing work available for the right candidate
$35–$40 per hour depending on experience and quality of work

Higher rates may be considered for candidates with proven Victorian Selective School or scholarship exam content-writing experience.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
