About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative assistant to join our team. This role is integral in managing the patient flow throughout the hospital.
The successful applicant will assist patients face to face and via the telephone as the first point of contact for the hospital. Duties are varied, including managing room bookings, registration, admissions and discharges, taking payments and managing bookings.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Experience in the provision of administrative services.
Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Exemplary communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
A proactive approach to work goals.
Prior experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
Experience with healthcare applications (desirable)
Knowledge of medical and educational terminology (desirable)
A strong commitment to high quality care
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
