About the role:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Workers to join our team in either Permanent Part-Time or Casual capacities. All available vacancies are for night shifts, and successful candidates must be available to work overnight hours across weekdays and weekends while providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential care setting.

This is a parttime and casual opportunity based throughout our Warrnambool region within our Out of Home Care Program. This position reports to the Residential House Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or if you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Cert 4 or a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification you’re also encouraged to apply.
A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

You must have a:

First Aid Certification (with minimum 6-month validity)
Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
