The Role

At Podium, we're on a mission to help local businesses win. Healthcare/Aesthetics is one of our fastest-growing verticals and our AI-powered platform helps them attract more patients, communicate more effectively, and get paid faster.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) on our Healthcare team, you'll be the first point of contact for practice owners and healthcare decision-makers. You'll identify new opportunities, engage them in meaningful conversations about the challenges they face running a practice, and book qualified product demonstrations for our Account Executives.

This is a true outbound sales role where you'll develop world-class prospecting skills, build resilience, and learn how to sell consultatively to an audience that genuinely needs what we offer. Many of our top-performing Account Executives started as SDRs. If you're looking for a genuine pathway into closing roles, this is where it starts.

No Prior Sales Experience? We are just as interested in people with a background in healthcare — nursing, allied health, practice management, clinical support, or similar — who are looking to move into a commercial career. If you understand what it's like to run or work in a practice, you already have a head start on everyone else applying for this role. No prior sales experience required.

What You'll Be Doing

Generate new business opportunities through high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Identify and engage practice owners and healthcare decision-makers across a range of specialties.
Build interest by understanding the day-to-day challenges healthcare practices face, and educate them on how Podium can help them grow.
Qualify opportunities using a consultative sales approach and schedule high-quality product demonstrations for the Account Executive team.
Consistently exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings, pipeline generation, and outbound activity.
Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless customer experience from first conversation through to handover.
Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity within Salesforce.

What You'll Bring

A genuine interest in sales and in helping healthcare practices succeed.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build rapport quickly — especially with busy practice owners and clinicians.
Resilience, curiosity, and a positive attitude—you don't get discouraged by hearing "no."
A competitive mindset with a proven ability to achieve or exceed KPIs.
Experience in customer-facing, sales, hospitality, retail, recruitment, or business development roles is highly regarded.
Experience working in or with healthcare practices — clinical, administrative, or operational — is highly valued, even without a sales background.
Previous outbound sales or SaaS experience is a bonus but not essential.
A growth mindset with a desire to learn, receive coaching, and build a long-term career in technology sales.
