Full Job Description

Head Chef

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help drive the continued success of our venue.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, creative, and confident managing all aspects of a busy kitchen. You will be responsible for leading the team, maintaining high food standards, controlling costs, and developing menus that suit our customers and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team
Create and manage staff rosters
Oversee daily kitchen operations and service quality
Manage stock ordering, rotation, and control
Reduce wastage and improve kitchen efficiency
Develop and cost new menu items
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency
Work closely with food operations manager to meet business targets

About You

Previous experience as a Head Chef
Confident leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen
Strong knowledge of rostering, stock control, and cost management
Creative approach to menu development
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Reliable, professional, and passionate about food
Strong understanding of food safety requirements
