Durable Concrete Coatings is an established, Australian-owned company that specialises in concrete coating products and epoxy supplies. We have an experienced, highly-skilled and dynamic team working in a fast-paced and diverse warehouse environment. We highly value a positive work culture and commit ourselves to excellent consumer support.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team at our exciting Underwood location to support the management of daily operations within our growing family-run business.

Position: Assistant Store Manager/2IC

Location: Underwood, Brisbane

Role: Full-time Salary: $70,000 per annum plus superannuation

Objectives of this role

Assist the store manager with the management of daily warehouse operations.
Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction the primary goal by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse staff and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
Support business growth by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients through engagement and execution of effective sales strategies.
Maintain a safe, healthy and positive work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Position duties involve:

Delivering customer service to clients in-store, over the phone, and on-site as needed.
Preparing trade and retail orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Handling the receipt and dispatch of goods, including the loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers.
Reconciling incoming and outgoing stock by cross-checking with requisitions and updating inventory and stock location records in the POS system.
Inspecting incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accurate fulfilment.
Creating samples and swatches for display and distribution.
Calculating end-of-day balances, optimizing loss prevention measures, and overseeing monthly stock control.
Assisting the senior management team in meeting budgets and business goals.
Regularly reporting to senior management, providing progress updates, analysing productivity, developing actionable plans for loss prevention, and addressing any issues promptly.
Writing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content for social media as required.
Capturing pictures and videos of ongoing and completed projects.
Perform daily store opening and closing procedures when required.

Exceptional work ethic, strong initiative and the ability to work both unsupervised and collaboratively with the team.
Expertise in tinting and mixing paint & colour.
A genuine desire to deliver a high level of customer service.
Physical fitness to perform manual warehouse tasks.
Comfortable in handling confidential information. Requirements for this role:
Driver’s license is required.
Forklift ticket is preferred, must be willing to obtain if not currently held.
Experience in management or team leadership is preferred.
Previous sales representative or warehouse experience is preferred.
