Bennelong Event Hire | Auburn, Sydney

Bennelong Event Hire is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Junior Administration Assistant to join our team at our Auburn premises.

We are a boutique event hire company supplying furniture and equipment for a wide range of events across Sydney. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and keen to learn, with a great attitude and a willingness to become part of a fast-paced and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in administration, customer service or the events industry.

About the Role

Working alongside our administration and operations team, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the office and help ensure our customers receive great service from their initial enquiry through to their event.

Your responsibilities will include:

Answering incoming phone calls and responding to customer enquiries
Assisting with emails and general correspondence
Entering and updating customer orders and bookings
Preparing quotes and hire documentation
Assisting customers with general product and hire enquiries
Maintaining accurate customer and booking information
Filing, scanning and general office administration
Liaising with our warehouse and operations teams regarding upcoming jobs
Assisting the team during busy event periods
Providing general administrative support as required

About You

We’re not necessarily looking for lots of experience — attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important.

You will ideally be:

Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers
Well organised with good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
Able to communicate clearly by phone and email
Happy working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly
A team player who is willing to help wherever needed
Interested in events, event hire or customer service

Previous administration or customer service experience would be helpful, but training will be provided for the right person.
