Job description:

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for planning and executing marketing initiatives that increase foot traffic, bookings, and brand loyalty. This role blends digital marketing, event promotion, local partnerships, and in-venue campaigns, working closely with venue management, chefs, and bar teams.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Management

Develop and execute a marketing strategy aligned with venue goals
Maintain and evolve the tavern’s brand identity across all channels
Create and manage monthly marketing calendars

Digital & Social Media

Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok as required)
Create engaging content including posts, reels, stories, and promotions
Respond to customer enquiries, reviews, and messages
Coordinate photography and videography for food, drinks, and events

Events & Promotions

Promote weekly specials, live music, sports events, and seasonal campaigns
Plan and market major events (e.g. trivia nights, themed nights, long weekends)
Work with venue staff to ensure promotions are executed in-house

Local Area Marketing

Build partnerships with local businesses, suppliers, and community groups
Coordinate collaborations, sponsorships, and cross-promotions
Manage signage, posters, menus, and in-venue marketing materials

Performance & Reporting

Track campaign performance (engagement, bookings, foot traffic)
Manage marketing budgets and supplier costs
Provide insights and recommendations to improve results

Skills & Experience

Essential

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant, or venue marketing
Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing
Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

Experience promoting live events or entertainment venues
Basic graphic design or content creation skills (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
Knowledge of booking platforms and POS-linked promotions
Photography or video editing experience
