Full Job Description

Senior Accountant / Finance & Payroll Officer – Aged Care

Part-Time | 3–5 Days Per Week | $45–$60 per hour + super (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance & Payroll Officer to join our growing aged care provider business.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Accountant, Bookkeeper or Finance Officer who can confidently manage the day-to-day financial operations of a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable from end to end.
Process, code and reconcile supplier invoices and payments.
Manage debtor accounts, invoicing, receipts and outstanding payments.
Process weekly/fortnightly payroll, including timesheets, leave, overtime, allowances and superannuation.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and resolve payroll queries.
Complete bank, supplier, debtor and general ledger reconciliations.
Assist with BAS, reporting, month-end processes and financial compliance.
Monitor cash flow and provide financial information to management.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are appropriately documented.
Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting and year-end requirements.
Work closely with management and administration teams to improve financial processes and controls.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy across all financial and employee records.

About You

Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or finance.
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting platforms highly regarded.
Aged care, NDIS, healthcare or community services experience highly desirable.
Reliable, professional and proactive approach.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly desirable to support our diverse client community.
