The responsibilities of this role are to assist with all aspects of the Development Assessment process including lodging, preparing and issuing of development related applications. Whilst the primary focus of the position is on development assessment, council's integrated approach to planning matters will, from time to time require the undertaking of work associated with strategic planning.
- Assist our experienced Town Planners to assess and process development applications.
- Undertake written correspondence regarding development matters and general customer service regarding development assessment.
- Provide advice and information on development and related matters to the general public, applicants, government authorities, consultants and other members of staff.
- Undertake work associated with strategic planning from time to time.

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
