Full Job Description

Private Obstetrician and Gynaecology Practice in the South Eastern suburbs seeks a dedicated and self-motivated Medical Receptionist / PA. This role entails looking after and managing the practice as their own in a team. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the medical practitioners and the rooms. The role is offered on a permanent part time basis (hours negiotable)

Job tasks and responsibilities:

Front of house reception

Schedule patient appointments

Deal appropriately with incoming calls and emails

Data Entry of patient details via Genie medical software

Maintain reception area

Administration/electronic filing duties

Managing surgical bookings, Liaising with Hospital and surgical teams & patients regarding surgical procedures

Invoicing and receipting accounts via EFTPOS, cash and DVA / Medicare billing procedures, including daily reconciliation and bad debts

Liaise with pathology, specialists, and GP's

Follow up with paperwork ensure all is complete and correct

Ability to multi-task in a professional manner

Medical Audiotyping

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, professional, reliable and have the ability to work well within this specialised team. Computer literacy, accurate keyboard skills together with excellent communication skills and presentation will ensure a positive placement. A sound working knowledge of Genie is highly regarded.
