The Role
Our Morwell site is located about 150km east of Melbourne, manufacturing a large range of products in yoghurt and dairy desserts including brands such as Farmers Union, Dairy Farmers and Yoplait. Operating 24 hours a day, six days a week across 9 lines the site is highly automated and is the largest yoghurt facility in Australia.
We are looking for a new site services operator to join the team at Morwell. This role has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to: Maintenance planning and scheduling, Contractor mgmt., Permit systems, inventory & administration. Good mechanical aptitude and being inquisitive are both highly regarded skills to have.
This is a permanent full-time role working on site at Morwell five days a week. Flexible start and finish times based on site needs.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain critical site services and waste water treatment plant and equipment to minimise/eliminate unplanned stoppages or damage to site. Examples: refrigeration services and compressed air, hot water supplies.
A focus on safe work practices is always required and taking responsibility for reporting safety issues and reducing or removing identified safety hazards.
Complete daily rostered duties including day to day cleaning tasks and daily checks, record and sign off on required authorised log sheets and work sheets
Contractor management across all assets in the area.
Identify and lead energy and chemical reduction opportunities.
About you
Good mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment
good computer literacy and communication skills
Sound understanding of safety principles
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
