Full Job Description

Comfort Home Care is seeking a caring, reliable and hardworking Support Worker to provide domestic assistance to a client in Mount Victoria, NSW.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, takes pride in their work and is committed to providing respectful and reliable support in a client's home.

About the Role

The position primarily involves domestic assistance and helping the client maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

General household cleaning
Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping
Dusting and cleaning surfaces
Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
Laundry, folding and ironing
Changing bed linen
Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen areas
General household organisation and tidying
Meal preparation and basic food assistance where required
Grocery shopping or other household errands where required
Providing friendly companionship and social interaction
Supporting the client's independence and wellbeing
Maintaining client privacy, dignity and confidentiality
Reporting any concerns regarding the client's wellbeing to Comfort Home Care

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Comfortable working independently in a client's home
Physically capable of completing household cleaning duties
Organised and able to manage time effectively
Friendly and able to build a positive relationship with clients
Committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in domestic assistance, cleaning, aged care, disability support or community services is preferred
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Current National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable
Working With Children Check, where required
Current Australian driver's licence, if transport is required
Reliable and appropriately insured vehicle, if required for the role
Valid Australian working rights
Ability to provide required identification and compliance documents during onboarding

Desirable

Certificate III in Individual Support or Community Services
Previous experience working with older people
Experience providing domestic assistance in clients' homes
Experience with meal preparation
Experience supporting clients with community access
