About Us

Caspian Australia Pty Ltd t/as Finlay and Sons is a beloved café and bistro located on vibrant Beaufort Street in the heart of Perth. We pride ourselves on delivering quality food in a warm, welcoming environment, and we're looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team and help us continue doing what we love.

About the Role

This is a full-time position for an experienced Chef who thrives in a busy café and bistro setting. You'll be working alongside a dedicated team, contributing to the preparation and delivery of consistently great food that keeps our customers coming back.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard
Contributing to menu development and seasonal specials
Managing kitchen stations efficiently during service
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff
Ensuring smooth and organised kitchen operations

About You

You are a reliable and motivated chef with a genuine love for food and a positive attitude in the kitchen.

You will have:

Previous experience working as a chef
A completed chef apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Experience working in a café, bistro, or similar hospitality environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
A team-first approach and excellent communication skills
