About the Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse at Wallama Clinic, you will support patients engaged in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), as well as those experiencing a range of other substance use disorders. You will provide high-quality person-centred nursing care, promote harm minimisation strategies and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support recovery and positive health outcomes.
This is an opportunity to work in a specialised and highly supportive environment where you will provide evidence-based, person-centred care while continuing to develop your expertise in Drug & Alcohol nursing. In this role you will:

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care within an opioid treatment program to support clients on their recovery journey.

Conduct clinical assessments, risk screening and develop person-centred treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary team.

Safely administer and manage Schedule 8 medications while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and legislative compliance.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, GPs, pharmacists and community services to achieve positive health outcomes and promote harm reduction.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Recent postgraduate nursing experience, with an interest in or knowledge of evidence-based Drug & Alcohol treatment.

Strong clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships.

A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams, with a commitment to person-centred and harm reduction principles.

Resilience, integrity and sound clinical judgement, with the ability to safely manage Schedule 8 medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
