Some of the positions available are maternity relief positions and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity
As a Pharmacist, you will provide high-quality clinical and operational pharmacy services across CCLHD to support the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to positive patient outcomes while supporting timely and efficient patient flow.
This rotational position provides the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical and operational pharmacy areas, including inpatient and ward services, dispensary, manufacturing, cancer care, Hospital-in-the-Home, clinical trials, and medication distribution.
In this role you will:

Provide clinical and operational pharmacy services across a range of practice areas to support safe and appropriate medication use.

Review, validate, dispense, compound, and check medicines to ensure timely and safe provision of therapy.

Support the quality use of medicines by reviewing and optimising individual patient therapy and applying evidence-based guidelines and recommendations.

Work collaboratively with patients, families, pharmacists, nurses, medical staff, and other health professionals to support high-quality, person-centred care.

Support and oversee pharmacy support staff to ensure the safe, appropriate, and timely supply of medicines.

Contribute to continuing professional development, education, quality improvement, research, and initiatives that advance pharmacy practice and patient outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
-
Current registration as a practising pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligibility for registration within three months of commencement.

Effective clinical drug knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences.

Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, take initiative, solve problems, and contribute to innovative work practices.

A commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and pharmacy research.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently, to achieve Pharmacy Department objectives.

A current unencumbered driver's licence and the ability to travel across CCLHD sites and external locations as required.

A willingness and ability to participate in on-call, after-hours, weekend, and public holiday work as required.
