Full Job Description

Do you have professional experience piping cakes, specifically cupcake style piping? Come join our wholesale dessert kitchen!

Located in Stafford QLD, we make delicious plant based slices, cakes and protein balls that are distributed all over Australia. We've been operating for 8 years and have grown into a busy wholesale production kitchen. We work efficiently, we're respectful to each other and we maintain a clean and organised environment.

HOURS & PAY:

$36 per hour | 3 days per week (more available for the right candidate) | 7am to 3:30pm

THE ROLE:

The tasks in this role vary slightly depending on the day, but most days you'll be:

Piping small individual cakes with consistent cupcake style designs
Coring and filling cakes and adding final decorative touches
Mixing and accurately weighing ingredients
Packing finished products
General production set up, cleaning and pack down

THE DAY:

Your day will start at 7am, include a 15 minute morning break and a half an hour lunch break. We finish at 3:30pm and only operate from Monday to Friday so afternoons and weekends are all yours.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

1. A minimum of two years' professional experience in cake decorating or pastry, with confident piping skills. You need to be comfortable piping neat, consistent cupcake-style designs efficiently and across large production runs. Experience may be from a café, cake shop, bakery, hotel, restaurant or food manufacturing facility. Home based experience is not included.

2. An enthusiastic, upbeat and hardworking attitude. This is a big one for us. We want to spend our days with kind and polite people who communicate well and work efficiently.

Our shifts start at 7:00am in Stafford, Monday to Friday. Are you available to work these hours reliably, and how many days per week are you looking for? (Let us know if there are particular days you are available)
Tell us about your cake piping experience. Where did you gain your experience, what were you piping, and what sort of quantities were you producing? We’re looking for professional experience where speed and consistency are important, so unfortunately home based experience alone won’t be suitable for this role.
