Full Job Description

$45 to $50ph - Experience based
Full time ongoing
Overtime available on penalty rate (x1.5)

WE FIT UP THE BIG RIGS! From design, fabrication, to fitting up all the cool stuff on Prime Movers. Head Board Frames, Super Duty Guard Sets, Tool Boxes, Oil Tanks. You name it we offer it! K-Drive brings their customer dreams alive by offering custom builds on their (mostly) new Prime Movers. We deal with all the big brands, Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, Scania MAN. The list goes on. The role:

All forms of general Fabrication
Welding frames, bullbars, bracketry
MIG, & TIG Welding - 1.5mm to 12mm
Mild, Stainless & Aluminium material
Press Brake Operations & Bending
Dry fitting and fine tuning
Quality automotive finishes
Design and fitting feedback with internal drafts people
Share in volume target bonus
New workshop offering a clean environment to take your creative skills to the next level
Fitting of manufactured truck components
Fitting of accessories
Fitting of Hydraulic PTO’s, Pumps etc
Electrical accessory fitting knowledge
Basic pneumatic knowledge
General housekeeping duties

The candidate:

Trade Qualification in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or Boilermaking
Background in Automotive - Advantageous
Ability to execute 6am starts and 4pm finishes
High level attention to detail
Problem solving ability
Forklift License - Advantageous
Exposure to CAD - Advantageous
Ability to read and interpret drawings
