About Us

Kev’s Cranes is a small, family-run business that lives and breathes all things truck-mounted cranes. We specialise in inspections, rebuilds, repairs – and making the gear tough enough to last.

The Role

CASUAL ROLE LEADING TO FULLTIME

We’re looking for a Fitter Welder to join our crew. A big part of the job will be building subframes and trays for truck-mounted cranes, along with general fabrication and fitting. If you’ve got hydraulics experience, that’s a bonus – but it’s not essential.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

Fabricating and welding subframes and trays for crane trucks
General fitting and fabrication work
Getting hands-on with steel and machinery
Occasionally dealing with hydraulics (if you know your way around them)
Working alongside a small, fun, and supportive team

It’s dirty work in a hot tin shed. You’ll sweat, you’ll get grease under your nails, and you’ll probably question your life choices on a hot summer’s day. But here’s the upside:

What We’re Looking For

Welding and fabrication skills (essential)
Experience with subframes and trays (or willingness to learn)
Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving
A strong work ethic with a sense of humour (non-negotiable!)
Hydraulics knowledge = big bonus
