DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform pipework fabrication and welding for bulk fluid tankers
- Possess the ability to assemble intricate components
- Demonstrate competency in the use of workshop plant
- Demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Work within the perimeters of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work is carried out in a modern, neat workshop- Some work is carried out in confined spaces
- Some work is conducted outside
- Some work involves working at heights
- Sometimes work is conducted in extreme heat
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Be physically fit
- Ability to enter and exit tanks
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to weld in a static posture for long periods of time
- Ability to use hand tools for long periods of time- e.g. Swing a hammer
- Ability to use percussion tools
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Lift heavy objects on a regular basis
