Full Job Description

Woodham Petroleum Services is a family owned, independent fuel distributor with operations across Queensland and New South Wales. To support the continued growth of our business, we are seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead and manage our new Cloncurry site.

About the Role

This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to shape and lead our Cloncurry depot. The Depot Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the site, including operational performance, people leadership, safety and compliance, fleet management, and customer service.

The role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable distribution of fuel while supporting the continued growth of the business. We are looking for a proactive and hands on leader who can work autonomously, drive accountability, and build strong relationships with both customers and team members while remaining closely connected to the broader leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage day to day depot operations to ensure safe and efficient fuel distribution
Manage and support depot employees, including drivers and operational staff, with responsibility for performance, training, and compliance
Coordinate customer fuel deliveries to meet service expectations and contractual requirements
Oversee fleet management including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and cost control
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements, including WHS and fatigue management
Manage administrative and reporting requirements associated with depot operations
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Occasional regional travel and out of hours work may be required based on operational needs

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in a depot, operations, or logistics management role, preferably within transport or fuel distribution
Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and take ownership of outcomes
Sound understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements in a transport or logistics environmentStrong organisational, communication, and problem solving skills
Experience with fleet management, scheduling, and operational systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally is required
