Full Job Description

Australian Nursing and Community Services (ANCS) is seeking a commercially driven Business Development & Intake Manager to take ownership of vacancy filling, stakeholder engagement, enquiry pipeline development, participant intake and SDA tenancy coordination across our SIL and SDA services.

This is a genuine growth role with clear targets and direct accountability. Our immediate priority is filling four vacancies at a newly opened location. You will build trusted sector relationships and referral pathways, generate and progress suitable enquiries, coordinate the intake process and ensure each approved participant experiences a smooth, compliant and well-managed transition.

You will be measured on results. Every placement must also meet ANCS standards for participant choice, compatibility, service suitability and long-term sustainability.

What you will own:

Filling current and future SIL and SDA vacancies with suitable participants.

Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of suitable participant enquiries and referral opportunities.

Where an SDA enquiry does not result in a suitable SDA placement, continuing appropriate engagement and, where relevant, identifying whether the participant may have needs that align with other ANCS services or future opportunities, without limiting participant choice or control.

Developing professional relationships with support coordinators, hospitals, discharge teams, allied health professionals, plan managers and other sector stakeholders.

Responding quickly and professionally to participant, family and referrer enquiries.

Progressing suitable enquiries from initial contact through screening, approval, onboarding and move-in.

Coordinating funding checks, participant selection, compatibility assessments and transition planning.

Working with clinical and operational leaders to confirm service capacity and participant suitability.

Managing service agreements, consents, intake records, SDA tenancy documentation and stakeholder communication.

Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline records, including enquiry or referral source, stage, next action and conversion status.

Reporting on occupancy, vacancy-to-fill time, stakeholder engagement, enquiry activity, conversion and participant transition outcomes.

Supporting the development of future locations by identifying demand, stakeholder engagement opportunities and market needs.

Developing and maintaining an active network and contact database of support coordinators, hospitals, discharge teams, allied health professionals, plan managers, community organisations and other relevant sector stakeholders, with clear follow-up actions and relationship history.

What success looks like

Four current vacancies are filled with independently approved, suitable participants within agreed timeframes.

Each approved participant completes a smooth move-in and successful 90-day transition.

A measurable and active enquiry pipeline is established and maintained.

The broader relationship pipeline continues to grow even where an immediate SDA placement is not suitable, creating appropriate opportunities for other services, future vacancies and long-term sector partnerships.

ANCS develops trusted, productive relationships with relevant sector stakeholders.

Enquiries are progressed promptly, with clear follow-up and no avoidable pipeline leakage.

All intake, service and tenancy documentation is complete, accurate and on time.

Occupancy, conversion and vacancy performance are reported consistently to the Director.

Growth is achieved without compromising participant choice, compatibility, safety or service quality.

About you

You may currently be working as an NDIS Business Development Manager, Partnerships Manager, Intake Manager, Community Engagement Manager, Referral Engagement Manager or senior Support Coordinator.

Demonstrated experience generating suitable enquiries, developing partnerships or growing services within the NDIS, disability, health or community services sectors.

A strong understanding of SIL, SDA, participant intake and NDIS funding.

Existing knowledge of the Sydney NDIS service and stakeholder ecosystem.

The confidence to build relationships, identify suitable opportunities and progress appropriate enquiries toward a decision.

Evidence of achieving measurable growth, occupancy, enquiry conversion or sustainable placement outcomes.

Strong judgement when balancing commercial targets with participant suitability and choice.

Excellent stakeholder communication, organisation and follow-through.

The ability to independently manage multiple live enquiries, deadlines and transitions.

Strong written documentation and reporting skills.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Sydney.

Experience with SDA tenancy arrangements, complex support needs, hospital discharge, participant transitions or an established support coordinator network will be highly regarded.

Remuneration and benefits

$100,000 full-time equivalent base salary plus superannuation, pro rata for part-time arrangements.
