STUDIO MANAGER / SKIN THERAPIST

SKN EDIT is a new kind of facial bar coming to the Gold Coast.
We’re taking the traditional facial appointment and editing out everything that makes it difficult to fit into real life: the 90-minute commitment, the big price tag and the feeling that good skin needs to be a whole event.
Our approach is simple: high-tech, results-driven facial treatments in around 20 minutes, designed to fit into your day.
Facials as an errand, not an event.
And now we’re looking for an experienced Studio Manager / Skin Therapist to help us bring our first SKN EDIT location to life.
THE ROLE
This is not a sit-in-the-office manager role.
You’ll be on the floor, treating clients, leading the team and making sure the studio runs exactly as it should.
You’ll work closely with the founders during the pre-opening period, then take ownership of the day-to-day operation once the doors open.
Your role will include:
● Leading and overseeing the SKN EDIT team
● Performing express facial treatments and delivering an exceptional client experience
● Managing daily studio operations, opening and closing procedures
● Coordinating staff, breaks and workflow throughout the day
● Maintaining treatment standards, presentation and hygiene
● Ensuring the studio consistently feels and operates like SKN EDIT
● Managing stock levels and day-to-day operational requirements
● Supporting team training and onboarding
● Handling client questions or issues confidently
● Helping drive memberships, rebooking and retail performance
● Keeping treatments running efficiently and on time
● Working closely with the founders on improvements as we learn and grow
As a growing brand, there may also be opportunities to occasionally help capture simple behind-the-scenes content for our social channels, so being comfortable using Instagram and taking the occasional photo or video would be a plus.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone experienced, confident and genuinely excited about helping build a new concept from the ground up.
You must have:
● Previous experience in skin, beauty, dermal therapy or a similar treatment environment
● Previous leadership, senior therapist or management experience
● Relevant beauty or skin qualifications
● Strong knowledge of skincare and facial treatments
● Excellent customer service and communication skills
● Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a team
● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
● The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
● Confidence using booking systems and technology
● A positive, proactive approach to problem-solving
Most importantly, you’re someone who notices things and takes ownership.
You care about the little details, support the people around you and don’t need to be constantly told what needs doing.
THE PRE-OPENING PERIOD
We'd ideally like you to commence around 15 October 2026, ahead of our official opening on 1 November 2026.
Those first couple of weeks will include training, learning the SKN EDIT treatment protocols, systems setup, team onboarding, content creation and getting the studio completely launch-ready.
You'll be one of the first people through the doors and an important part of establishing how SKN EDIT operates from day one.
