A 'hands on' role, our Accountants meet clients and are involved in day to day compliance as well as consulting work and special projects from day one. Our accountants are a crucial part of our team and develop a deep understanding of their clients.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for Accountants who have completed a degree in Commerce/Business with a major in accounting or finance and have a desire to pursue Chartered Accounting as part of their professional development.

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or Permanent resident at the time of application
Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience at an Australian based accounting firm
Enjoy problem solving and critical thinking
Have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be motivated to continue your development and learning
A positive attitude and someone who enjoys working as part of a diverse team

Key Responsibilities of this role

Preparation of Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements, workpapers, fringe benefits tax returns & activity statements
Assist senior team members with advisory and consulting work including structuring, deceased estates, Federal & State government grants, indirect taxes and ASIC compliance
Assist with training graduate accountants to complete compliance and other client work
Client administrative matters including ATO mail and managing payments
Liaise with the ATO, SRO, ASIC, banks, fund managers
A focus on developing relationships with your clients and other team members
Continuous learning and development
Develop your knowledge in Xero, Microsoft suite
