Brisbane CBD based
Paralegal or
Senior Paralegal within our Personal Injury team, you will be at the heart of that mission. Working side by side with our legal professionals, you’ll help drive meaningful outcomes and create lasting impact for the people we serve.
While experience in personal injury law is preferred, it is not essential. What matters most is a genuine interest in personal injury law and a desire to build a career helping people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience across legal support, administration and other practice areas who are looking to develop their career in this rewarding area of law.
While this is a full time role, we are open to candidates seeking 4 days per week - get in touch!
With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
- Working with our solicitors to successfully support them with day-to-day operations of files/client management.
- Preparing matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence.
- Using your high attention to detail to draft briefs and documents, such as claim forms and schedule of damages.
- Efficiently coordinating medico-legal appointments, compulsory conferences and mediations.
- Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
- Supporting our Legal team with optimising the use of internal systems to process information.
What you’ll bring.
- A genuine interest in plaintiff personal injury matters
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Accurate typing skills and intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel
- A keen eye for detail when managing and collating documents
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- An understanding of the importance of your role as a key point of contact supporting our clients
