About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Workshop Foreman to join our team located in Salisbury.

The Workshop Foreman at Genelite Pty Ltd will play a critical role in managing and overseeing daily operations across the Stores, Yard, Portable Production, and Workshop areas. This position requires a hands-on leader who is actively engaged on the floor, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards.

The successful candidate will

Supervise and coordinate daily operations across all workshop areas, ensuring seamless workflow and productivity.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety within the workshop and associated areas.
Monitor and enforce punctuality and efficiency among team members, ensuring all jobs are completed quickly and effectively.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance production processes and streamline operations.
Conduct regular assessments of work quality and ensure adherence to company standards.
Provide training and direction to team members, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to perform their tasks efficiently.
Report directly to the Workshop Manager, maintaining open lines of communication regarding operations and performance issues.
Champion quality control initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Be hands on as required each day

Qualifications & Experience

Trade qualification preferred, with demonstrated experience in workshop operations, workflows, and production.
Proven track record in a supervisory role within a similar industrial environment.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a workshop setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Remuneration

Based on qualifications and experience.

Work Environment

This position is not a desk job; the Workshop Foreman will be actively engaged on the floor, working closely with the team to drive productivity and efficiency. The role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to achieving excellence in all aspects of workshop operations.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
