About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Workshop Foreman to join our team located in Salisbury.
The Workshop Foreman at Genelite Pty Ltd will play a critical role in managing and overseeing daily operations across the Stores, Yard, Portable Production, and Workshop areas. This position requires a hands-on leader who is actively engaged on the floor, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards.
The successful candidate will
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations across all workshop areas, ensuring seamless workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety within the workshop and associated areas.
- Monitor and enforce punctuality and efficiency among team members, ensuring all jobs are completed quickly and effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance production processes and streamline operations.
- Conduct regular assessments of work quality and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Provide training and direction to team members, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to perform their tasks efficiently.
- Report directly to the Workshop Manager, maintaining open lines of communication regarding operations and performance issues.
- Champion quality control initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Be hands on as required each day
Qualifications & Experience
- Trade qualification preferred, with demonstrated experience in workshop operations, workflows, and production.
- Proven track record in a supervisory role within a similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a workshop setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Remuneration
Based on qualifications and experience.
Work Environment
This position is not a desk job; the Workshop Foreman will be actively engaged on the floor, working closely with the team to drive productivity and efficiency. The role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to achieving excellence in all aspects of workshop operations.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
