About the Role:

Opportunity for an experienced Corporate Accountant (Bilingual in Japanese & English) to join our high-performing finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in financial reporting, governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement within a large and complex multi-entity organisation.

Working closely with senior leaders and Japanese stakeholders, you'll provide accurate financial insights, maintain strong financial controls, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare and review monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Lead corporate month-end and year-end processes
Coordinate group consolidations and statutory reporting
Prepare Board reporting packs and stakeholder presentations
Act as the key finance contact for Japanese stakeholders, communicating financial performance and key business outcomes
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, and audit requirements
Maintain balance sheet integrity and a robust financial control environment
Identify and implement process and system improvements

Skills & Experience Required:

You are a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders. To this role, you will bring:

CA or CPA qualification
Demonstrated experience in a corporate accounting role within a multi-entity organisation
Fluent Japanese and English language skills (written and verbal)
Strong knowledge of IFRS/AASB reporting requirements
Experience with consolidations, statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Knowledge of Australian tax and GST requirements
Intermediate Excel skills and strong analytical capability
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
