Marvell Lubricants Pty Ltd, operating through Oila – Oil and Grease Centre, is an Australian supplier of automotive and industrial oils, lubricants, greases, coolants, AdBlue and related products.
Based in Bayswater, Victoria, we supply workshops, automotive businesses, transport operators, industrial facilities, farms, retail stores and commercial customers across Australia.
We are seeking a confident, motivated and reliable Sales Representative to develop new business, visit potential customers and build long-term relationships within an allocated sales territory.
About the Role
This is a field-based sales position suitable for someone who enjoys meeting people, developing business relationships and working independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, introducing our products and services, generating new sales and maintaining contact with existing customers.
The role will involve travelling to automotive workshops, mechanics, transport companies, factories, engineering businesses, farms, retailers and other commercial or industrial customers.
No previous experience in the lubricant industry is required. Product and sales training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Visiting prospective customers within your allocated territory
- Introducing Marvell Lubricants and Oila products and services
- Generating new sales leads and business opportunities
- Contacting potential customers by telephone, email and in person
- Building and maintaining professional customer relationships
- Understanding customers’ requirements and recommending suitable products
- Preparing quotations and following up with potential customers
- Promoting automotive oils, industrial lubricants, greases, coolants, AdBlue and associated products
- Following up on quotations, enquiries and previous customer visits
- Supporting company promotions and local marketing activities
- Collecting customer information and maintaining accurate sales records
- Entering customer and sales information into the company CRM system
- Providing management with feedback about customer requirements, competitors and market conditions
- Preparing a daily written activity report by email
- Providing photos of businesses visited and copies or photographs of collected business cards
- Working toward agreed weekly and monthly sales targets
Performance Expectations
During the initial employment period, the Sales Representative will be expected to work toward the following targets:
- First month: At least one order valued above $800 each week
- Month 1 sales target: $10,000
- Month 2 sales target: $10,000
- Month 3 sales target: $15,000
Performance will be reviewed regularly based on sales results, customer activity, reporting, reliability and business development progress.
Employees who demonstrate consistent performance may be considered for additional hours, expanded responsibilities or future full-time employment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Organised and capable of managing an allocated territory
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, managers, mechanics and purchasing personnel
- Able to follow up consistently and maintain customer relationships
- Willing to learn about automotive and industrial lubricant products
- Capable of preparing clear daily reports
- Results-focused and willing to work toward sales targets
Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential. Candidates with experience in automotive parts, workshops, transport, industrial products, machinery, farming, chemicals, oils or lubricants will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Their own reliable vehicle
- Their own mobile phone
- Access to a laptop or computer
- The ability and willingness to travel within an allocated local territory
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer and email skills
- Australian working rights
Experience using Outlook, Xero or customer relationship management software is an advantage but is not essential.

- Part-time employment of approximately 15–20 hours per week
- An hourly rate from $28 plus superannuation
