The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager (NUM/MUM) to lead a diverse and dynamic clinical environment within the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. This distinctive role is based in the Central West NSW region and oversees a uniquely integrated service that brings together general inpatient care, maternity services and an ambulatory care unit.
In this position, you will be responsible for the overall operational management, clinical leadership and service delivery across a combined unit that supports a broad patient cohort. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high quality and patient centred care, while driving workforce engagement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires a confident and capable leader who can balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands, and who thrives in a setting where adaptability and collaboration are key.
