Full Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Administration Assistant to join our team at Thurgoona Training Academy.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy training organisation. We’re looking for someone who enjoys administration and dealing with people, but who is equally happy to step away from the desk and help with the practical things that keep the workplace running smoothly.

This is not an accounts or invoicing position.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Answering phones and responding to general enquiries
Assisting customers with course enquiries and bookings
Greeting students and visitors
General data entry and maintaining accurate records
Assisting with student enrolments and course administration
Preparing paperwork and resources for upcoming training courses
Filing, scanning and general document management
Providing general administrative support to trainers and other office staff
Preparing and setting up training rooms
Organising and preparing catering for training courses
Cleaning and resetting training rooms between courses
Keeping the office, kitchen, amenities and common areas clean, tidy and presentable
Restocking kitchen, bathroom, training and office supplies
Assisting with other general duties required to keep the day-to-day operation running smoothly

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
Has good computer and general administration skills
Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks
Has strong attention to detail
Communicates confidently and professionally
Is friendly and comfortable dealing with customers and students
Can work independently without needing constant direction
Works well as part of a small team
Shows initiative and notices when something needs to be done
Is happy to pitch in with practical duties such as catering, cleaning and preparing training rooms
Is willing to learn new systems and processes
Has a positive, practical and professional attitude

Previous administration experience would be highly regarded; however, attitude, reliability, initiative and willingness to learn are equally important to us.

Experience working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), education or training environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Pay: $52,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
