WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Enaex Australia is seeking an experienced and technically capable Drill & Blast Specialist - Underground to join our Enaex Mining Technical Services (EMTS) team in Western Australia.
This role provides engineering, technical support, and blasting project management services to key underground mining clients across the region. Working closely with customers and operational teams, you will help optimise blasting performance, deliver innovative technical solutions, and support the application of Enaex products and technologies underground.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Drill & Blast Engineer, Technical Specialist, or senior Shotfirer looking to broaden their impact through technical leadership, customer engagement, innovation, and project delivery.
Key responsibilities;
- Provide specialist technical support across underground drill and blast operations.
- Deliver training and support for Enaex technologies and electronic initiation systems.
- Lead and support blasting optimisation projects, technical studies, and field trials.
- Develop technical solutions and recommendations that improve safety, productivity, and blast performance.
- Build strong customer relationships and represent Enaex in technical engagements and project delivery.
- Support audits, investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and the evaluation of new products and technologies.
Ideally you will have:
- Significant experience in underground drill & blast operations across a range of mining environments.
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Geoscience, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Shotfirer's Licence and strong practical blasting experience.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise blasting performance.
- Experience using blasting software and producing technical reports and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work closely with customers and operational teams.
