WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Enaex Australia is seeking experienced and motivated Drill & Blast Technical Support professionals to join our EMTS team supporting open-cut mining operations across Western Australia.
This is a dynamic technical role that combines on-bench support, customer engagement, training, and drill & blast optimisation, making it ideal for experienced Shotfirers, Blast Technicians, Technical Specialists, or drill and blast professionals ready to build a broader technical career.
Working closely with customers and operational teams, you will provide technical advice, support advanced initiation technologies, identify blasting improvement opportunities, and help deliver safer, more productive outcomes across a variety of mining operations.
This opportunity offers the chance to move beyond traditional operational roles and become part of a specialist technical team that influences blasting performance across multiple sites while building strong customer partnerships and supporting business growth
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-bench technical support across open-cut drill and blast operations
- Deliver training and support for electronic initiation systems and Enaex technologies
- Provide technical advice and blasting optimisation recommendations to customers
- Audit blasting practices and identify performance improvement opportunities
- Build strong technical relationships with customers and site teams
- Support equipment preparation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting onsite
- Contribute to training material development and continuous improvement initiatives
For more experienced candidates, the role may also involve:
- Leading technical projects and customer engagements
- Mentoring and developing technical team members
- Supporting business growth through technical expertise and customer influence
- Contributing to strategic technical planning and innovation initiatives
Ideally you will have;
- Experience in open-cut drill & blast or technical mining environments
- Current Shotfirer's Licence with practical blasting experience
- Experience with electronic initiation or detonator systems
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience delivering training, mentoring, or technical support programs (highly regarded)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, learning, and innovation
