Your new team
You'll be joining our Technology team, where we build and maintain the digital backbone that powers Auto & General's operations. Our ServiceNow platform is central to how we deliver IT services, manage assets, support our people, and respond to operational challenges across the business. This is a collaborative, technically curious team that values quality code, sustainable solutions, and continuous improvement. We work in an Agile environment, partnering closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Platform Administrators, and stakeholders across the business to deliver solutions that make a real difference. The role
As a ServiceNow Developer, you'll design, develop, configure, and support scalable ServiceNow solutions across our platform — spanning ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Asset Management, Vulnerability Response, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Service Portal. You'll work across the full development lifecycle, building robust integrations, automating tests, and ensuring every solution meets our standards for security, governance, and upgradability.

Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities

Build Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flow Designer workflows, Service Catalog items, Record Producers, and Service Portal components

Configure and support solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, HAM Pro, SAM Pro, Vulnerability Response, IRM, and CMDB/CSDM

Develop and maintain REST/SOAP integrations and IntegrationHub spokes with third-party applications

Build and execute Automated Test Framework (ATF) test cases to support new functionality and platform upgrades

Perform unit testing, defect resolution, and provide support during development, UAT, deployment, and hypercare

Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with ServiceNow development standards, security controls, and platform governance

Maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, and deployment documentation

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Platform Administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and supportable solutions
What experience you'll bring

5+ years of ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments
-
Strong hands-on experience across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, Vulnerability Response, Field Service Management, CMDB/CSDM, Service Catalog, and Service Portal

Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow scripting

Experience with ATF (Automated Test Framework), ACLs, Update Sets, Source Control, and platform security

Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong stakeholder communication skills

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline

ServiceNow Certified Administrator (CSA) — required

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one relevant module — preferred
