Work type: Part Time () 30 hours per week

Schedule: Ability to work on rotating roster Mon - Sun, with hrs between 08:00 - 2200 over the week and 09:00 - 1900 over the weekend

Dorevitch Pathology is a Healius business. Healius has an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. About The Role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Routine receipting and processing of specimens; including operation and maintenance of analysers
Pre and post analytical specimen handling
Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens
Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required
Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests
Staying up to date with processing updates
Respond to result, sample requirements and general queries
Identifying and resolving problems on at the pre-analytic stage

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

Specimen processing and data entry experience preferred but not essential
Excellent customer service and communication skills
The ability to manage and thrive in a busy environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision and work as a team
Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately
A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology would be desirable, but not essential
Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection is desirable
