About the role
Work in a newly created team to manage land transitioning across from State Forest to newly created national and State parks.
Parks Victoria is seeking passionate and skilled Rangers to work in it's newly created team in Bacchus Marsh. Rangers will use their skills and experience to manage, protect and maintain park values and assets, support great visitor experiences and to protect biodiversity. You will be part of a team who deliver in park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader.
In these roles, we are seeking Rangers that are experienced in project management and Rangers who are experienced in on ground deliver you'll be accountable for the delivery of on-ground works including, but not limited to, track and outstation maintenance, road and carpark maintenance, providing exceptional visitor experiences and supporting project works. You will also be involved in pest plant and animal management, native vegetation management, Traditional Owner engagement, fire and emergency management, visitor engagement,

We're looking for someone with:

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in conservation, land management or field-based work.

Ability to work safely in outdoor and physically demanding environments.

Practical skills and experience in the maintenance and operation of small power equipment and tools for asset maintenance or the willingness to gain these.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
