As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our
Head Office in Keysborough. Working closely with Management, Sales, Research &
Development (R&D) and Production teams, the successful applicant will support
procurement planning, supplier coordination and commercial analysis to ensure the efficient
sourcing of products, components and materials while contributing to the continuous
improvement of procurement processes across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to senior management, the Procurement Specialist will work closely with
Management, Sales, Research & Development (R&D) and Production teams to coordinate
procurement activities, analyse sourcing requirements and support the continuous
improvement of procurement processes. The role requires strong analytical, commercial and
organisational skills to ensure products and materials are sourced efficiently while supporting
product development and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies to support
business operations and product development.
Work collaboratively with Management, Sales, R&D and Production teams to
understand product specifications, customer demand and production requirements.
Research, identify and evaluate domestic and international suppliers based on
quality, pricing, capability and delivery performance.
Obtain quotations, compare supplier proposals and prepare procurement
recommendations.
Liaise with suppliers regarding product specifications, production schedules, quality
standards and delivery timeframes.
Assist in negotiating pricing, commercial terms and supply arrangements with
suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and recommend opportunities for continuous
improvement.
Analyse procurement data, purchasing trends and inventory requirements to identify
opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
Prepare procurement reports, supplier evaluations and market research to support
business planning and decision-making.
Assist in developing and maintaining procurement procedures, supplier
documentation and procurement records.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to support inventory planning and
timely product availability.
Ensure procurement activities are carried out in accordance with company policies
and commercial requirements.
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will have:
At least three years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain,
commercial operations or a related business environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with Management, Sales, Research & Development
(R&D), Production and external suppliers.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using ERP or
inventory management systems highly regarded.
A qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management or a related
discipline will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
