Eastern Halal Butcher

Location: Oakleigh, VIC 3166

Salary: AUD $75,000 per annum ( This salary figure excludes the mandatory super)

Employment Type: Full time

Are you passionate about the art of butchery? Do you take pride in delivering the highest quality cuts of meat to customers? If so, Eastern Halal Butcher is looking for a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team in Oakleigh, VIC.

Eastern Halal Butcher is a leading meat supplier known for our commitment to providing premium, locally sourced meat products to our valued customers. With a focus on quality and excellence, we have built a strong reputation in the industry and continue to grow our business. Due to our growth and expansion to a mini-mart set up we are seeking for a candidate to join our friendly and vibrant team.

Key Duties and Job Responsibilities:

As a Butcher at Eastern Halal Butcher, you will be responsible for:

Preparing and cutting meat products according to customer requirements
Ensuring the quality and freshness of meat through proper handling and storage techniques
Operating and maintaining butchery equipment and machinery
Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies
Providing exceptional customer service by offering product recommendations and answering queries
Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with hygiene and safety standards

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Minimum 3 years experience working as a Butcher in a similar role
Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and their preparation techniques
Excellent knife skills and the ability to handle butchery equipment safely
Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
