Your Story
As an Environmental Officer at Tibaldi, you will be a part of the Research and Development team based in Clayton, Victoria and will be involved in:
- Conduct environmental monitoring activities, including waste, water, energy, emissions, noise, and biodiversity assessments.
- Collect, analyse and report environmental performance data.
- Implementing environmental control measures that enable the business to track and analyse with the objective of reducing the business environmental impact.
- Establish standards and developing approaches for the control of environmental
- Assist with the implementation of business appropriate policies and procedures
- Identify environmental risks and opportunities.
- Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and risk assessments.
- Investigate environmental incidents, complaints and non-conformances.
- Recommend and monitor corrective and preventative actions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System
- Maintain accurate environmental records and documentation
- Prepare environmental reports for management, regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
- Support sustainability programs focused on waste reduction, recycling, resource efficiency, emissions reduction and environmental stewardship.
- Promote environmentally responsible work practices.
- Assist with organisational sustainability reporting and ESG initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Commonwealth, State and Local Government environmental legislation, regulations, licences and permits
- Monitor environmental obligations and maintain compliance registers.
- Assist with environmental audits and inspections.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and permit applications.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in the relevant field or related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
As part of the Research and Development team you will:
- Be an adaptable, innovative team player, willing to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and good sense of judgement on confliction priorities.
- Work collaboratively to partner with key business stakeholders including from Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Assurance, Research and Development, Finance, Maintenance, Sales, Marketing and HR.
- Be ‘hands-on’ with everyone from our entry level roles to the CEO.
- May be able to work from home on occasions (not a permanent arrangement).
