Role

Education Support Class Level 1 Range 2

This is a part-time ongoing position. Attendance is required 3 days per week between Monday and Friday during school terms in accordance with the school's operating hours. Specific days as negotiated with the principal.

The Enrolment Officer provides comprehensive administrative services to the enrolment team and supports the general functions of the office and administration team.

The position supports the day-to-day operation of the school by providing timely assistance to students, families and staff, managing confidential information, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Working collaboratively with school leadership, teaching staff, education support staff, students and families, the Enrolment Officer ensures timely and accurate communication across all necessary stakeholders through the enrolment and transition process for new students. The Enrolment officer communicates with a range of external stakeholders through the enrolment process such as Kindergarten¿s, transferring schools, NDIS Key workers and DE regional staff as required seek necessary documentation to progress enrolment processes as required.

The enrolment officer ensures all records, procedures, handbooks, spreadsheets and databases are updated and maintained and each year. Under the direction of the Office Managers, supports the administrative functions for routine census and audit processes as required.

As a member of the administration team, the enrolments officer will be scheduled to provide first aid response as a designated first aid officer and will be required to provide reception support when requested by the Office Managers.

Responsibilities

Student Records

Maintain student information systems, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and handled confidentially at all times.

Communication

Respond to enrolment and general enquiries promptly and professionally and communicate with families and stakeholders on enrolment and attendance matters.

Health & Wellbeing

Act as designated first aider, responding to injuries and medical incidents in line with Department of Education policy, including contacting families/emergency services when needed.
Administer medication and support students with health care needs per approved documentation.
Support attendance processes, including follow-up on unexplained absences.

General Administration

Provide broad administrative support to the leadership and enrolments team and undertake general office duties supporting effective school operations.

Professional Conduct

Exercise sound judgement and confidentiality with sensitive information, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Other duties requested by the Principal.

Location Profile

Nganboo Borron School is located at 2 Frome Cr, Werribee, and supports students with mild to profound intellectual disabilities in the Wyndham area. Students access specialised education services and high-quality learning and wellbeing programs. Nganboo Borron School has capacity up to 148 students, enrolling students from Foundation to year 12.

Our facility consists of 4 permanent buildings, including: an administration building (incorporating school library and staff lounge); 2 learning neighbourhoods (1 Junior and 1 Senior); a community hub with indoor multi-use court; canteen; arts/music spaces; hard courts; and a sports field.

Students have great modern learning areas with air conditioning and heating inside with undercover walkways and shelters for protection from the weather when outdoors.
